Spears & Associates was founded by Robert Spears and is managed today by John Spears, Richard Spears, and Kurt Minnich. The firm has been based in Tulsa since 1965.

The key to Spears’ successful consulting services is a thorough understanding of what oil and gas industry decision makers want from their suppliers. To ensure that Spears communicates with the industry on every assignment, the firm retains a number of retired oilfield executives to conduct field interviews which develops a solid understanding of projects undertaken.

Oilfield operations and management consulting. Previously with Touche Ross. Spears & Associates since 1981.

 

Richard Spears, Vice President

Education:

BS, Engineering, Oklahoma State University; IE Graduate Studies, Oklahoma State University.

Experience:

Field Engineer, Halliburton Services; Operations Manager, Leader Stimulation Co. Spears & Associates since 1985.

 

Kurt Minnich, Project Manager

Education:

BS, Petroleum Engineering, University of Oklahoma; MBA, University of Oklahoma.

Experience:

Petroleum Engineer, Grace Petroleum; Senior Business Analyst, Arco International. Spears & Associates since 1993.
